What is a recurring gift?
A recurring or ongoing gift is a donation, paid by credit card, that is made in multiple installments. It allows you to pay for a larger contribution to R Baby Foundation over time and also makes it easier to give annually without having to resubmit payment information.
To make a recurring gift, please use the following tips:
- In the "would like to make a gift of" box, enter the amount that you would like to be charged on your credit card on the day you submit the form (NOT including all the installments).
- In the "Amount you would like to recur" box, enter the amount you would like to be charged for EACH subsequent payment. This does not need to be the same amount as your initial gift (i.e. you can make a one-time gift of $100 and then have weekly $25 donations in addition).
- Then select the frequency of your donation (weekly, monthly etc)
- To determine the length of your recurring gift, you can either enter the number of recurrences (times your card will be charged) or the date of your final recurrence. If you do not fill out this date or enter a number of recurrences, the system will automatically make your final recurrence one year from your first payment date (so if you submit your initial gift- before any recurrences- on 3/15/2012, the automatic last payment date will be 3/15/2013, unless otherwise specified).
